Ballarat And Its Attractions
The third largest
city, in Victoria, Ballarat, is located just an hour distance by rail or road,
west of Melbourne.
Ballarat enjoys a
prosperous and rich heritage because of Australian gold rushes begun in 1851.
According to the information found all over the internet, the Ballarat region
used to be home to the richest sand deposited goldfield in the world which
resulted in a bang in population, as people started setting up here from all
over the world looking for fortune. By 1855, Ballarat had grown-up to a City
containing a population of one lac people. Striking civic and private sector
buildings sprung up financed from the riches produced by the diggings.
Nowadays, long after,
when the gold ran out, the city still holds ample of its gold heritage in the
form of lavish structures, fountains, and tourist attractions to celebrate the
history of this city. These notable constructions include Her Majesty's
Theatre, Ballarat's Town Hall and Craig's Hotel built in several periods from
1853 to 1891.

Kryal Castle
Kryal Castle is a replica of a mediaeval castle or can say a fantasy based medieval theme park, entertaining the families, locals and visitors since 1974. After several restorations, the family-friendly castle’s drawbridge was officially re-opened in 2013, and visitors can once again travel in ancient time to a world of myth where queens, kings, dragons, knights and wizards wander.
Plan a day trip entering into a fantasy world of The Dragon’s Labyrinth, see the Torture and Dungeon Attractions, watch as heroic knight’s battle for power in the main ring, stroll through the maze, watch as the magician blends liquids and test your power with the Sword in the Rock.

Visitors can also take a nap in the castle, or take dinner from multiple options available. Or you can take your food along to enjoy a picnic in the playground of the castle.
The Castle is a perfect destination for a day out with activities and performances designed for young, old and families.
