Massive fire engulfs Brunswick East business in Melbourne's inner north

 A family business in Melbourne's inner north has caught fire in a huge blaze, which spewed smoke across the area and took dozens of firefighters more than an hour to bring under control.

Firefighters were alerted to a blaze at a warehouse on John Street in Brunswick East, a block away from both the busy Nicholson Street and Glenlyon Road.

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) said more than 60 firefighters were called to the scene.

Crews used cranes to fight the fire from above after the blaze breached the roof of the business.
